The foundation of what we do is a regular pattern of prayer and a celebration of the Eucharist. Our liturgy is a mixture of traditional and contemporary, drawing from both the 1662 Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship.

Kids’ Services at St George’s
Children are very welcome at St George’s. We care about the spirituality of children and help them to develop their faith.
Every Sunday at 10am: Sung Eucharist
During term time, we also offer regular Sunday School, in conjunction with a ‘Pray and Play’ area on the right-hand side of the church for kids who may be too young for the Sunday School. This has spiritually imaginative toys, books, and colouring in sheets.
Sunday 10am: Sung All Age Eucharist
Every other month, we offer an All Age Service at the 10am Sung Eucharist. This is a more family involved service where the children take an active part, and are encouraged to read the lessons and read the intercessions.
Other Services at St George’s
We offer christenings, weddings and funerals.
Confessions are heard by appointment.
Please contact the Parish Office to arrange a conversation with a member of the clergy.

The primary pattern of our worship is the celebration of the Eucharist. At St John’s, we offer an Anglo-Catholic style of Sung Eucharist, commonly referred to as a High Mass. Along with the ritual of bells and smells, each Mass is accompanied either by our choral scholars, or a bigger congregational choir.
