United Benefice “Why me?” talks
This coming Lenten season we will be running our sixth “Why me?” series when members of the United Benefice will give a personal reflection on their life and faith on Sunday evenings at the 6.30pm Mass at St John the Baptist, Holland Road in place of the sermon.
Those who attended past years’ addresses have found them to be moving, encouraging and inspiring, and an example of N.T. Wright’s vision of church: “It’s where you’ll find people learning to pray, coming to faith…it’s where people bring their own small faith and discover that when they get together with others to worship the true God, the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.”
The talks will commence on Sunday 1 March and run for five Sundays up to and including 29 March.
